The Yarn Story
Tukuwool DK comes from Finnsheep and Finnsheep/Texel flocks on Finnish farms, spun and dyed close to where the sheep graze. It's a woolen-spun two-ply, which gives it that lofty, lively hand knitters loved in Tukuwool Fingering, now in a heavier weight built for sweaters. The wool is warm and airy with a bit of rustic texture, the kind of yarn that blooms after a wash: stitches relax, the fabric softens and evens out, and everything looks a little more like itself.
